Please, everybody, let's use trash cans
Last Update on Aug 7, 2002
Please feel free to report to our management agent (as identified on the Contact Us page) the addresses which do not use containers and which do not limit the hours the trash is outside. The homeowners at these addresses are scheduled to, at first, receive letters reminding them of their obligations.
Setting out your trash in a proper container is the neighborly thing to do. A proper container provides some protection from the wind, and from animals, which would scatter your trash about our community. A proper container doesn't have to cost you much. Call our contractor AAA Disposal Service at 703-818-8222 and ask for one of their 96 gallon wheeled carts. There is a $7.50 delivery charge, according to their web site at www.aaatrash.com.
Once you've made the right choice to put out your trash in a proper container, don't leave it out too long. Your trash should not be set out before the evening before our pickup days of Tuesday and Friday, or the container left to sit outside later than the evening of the day of the pickup.
With a few simple rules, we can keep our community looking clean. Please join us.
One more thing, for those who leave the caps and lids on the items they set out for the recycling truck on Wednesdays: don't! Please remove all caps and lids from the recyclable glass and plastic jars and bottles you set out. Read this and more at our contractor's site, www.aaatrash.com. Thanks!
