Annual meeting held, directors elected

The annual meeting of the Summer's Grove Homeowners Association on Friday, October 2, 2009 on the greens directly behind the pool started with pizza and refreshments and cake and numerous board members past and present in attendance. About 30 homeowners were present. John Pecic gave the President's Report discussing the reconstruction of the bioretention pond, the maintenance on the perimeter fence, the challenges ahead with our streets, and the impact of the economy on home sales and prices. The need, present and future, to replace the external air conditioning units is another issue of community concern. Five homeowners were elected to the Board of Directors: Edward Collins, Dale Fletcher, Gary Gooch, Donna Powers, and Gordon White, to 3-year terms.

The success of the Association is based on the active participation of all members, and serving on the Board allows an owner to be more directly involved in the decision making process. Please join us at the first meeting of the new Board in the club house on Monday, October 5 at seven o'clock.
